Devious Journal Entry

It's about time to make that monthly journal update..

Since last month I have managed to sell two paintings and work on some projects from freelance graphic design. It was pretty exciting and needed the extra money. I actually traded one painting for an Ipod touch, which was out of the ordinary form of transaction, but I think it was well traded.

I haven't wasted my time on bogus nonpaying projects. I'm sick for giving free service to people who are more than capable of paying me. It's sad really, people can be stingy like that. I hate it when people take advantage of your skills to benefit themselves and/or their organization. Compensation in a form of trade, money, or skill for skill is good, but free? Probono my asshole! Nothing in this world is free, even love.

I've moved on from different subjects for Face the Emotions. You won't be seeing any of the older model that I've previously had in my gallery. I had a falling out with her, once I saw her for what she really is. It's sad really, she was kinda growing on me. Oh well, on to the next muse..

My art manager has set me up two shows in the area, one in D.C. and V.A.. Hopefully, the dates pull through. I'll keep you posted.

I'm going to have a photo shoot this Nov. 1. They keep getting prettier and expressive and I keep painting all year round.

Also, I might get this mural gig in a Mexican restaurant, I'll also keep you all posted.

Anyways, it's great to see justice in action. No, not the court kind, but the one called karma...crucial domination...what? what a joke..

That's it for now..

I'm getting my life back on track as well as two new deviations worthy of my portfolio. My previous living situation and job situation drained my time as an airbrush artist for long enough (3 months). Now it's time to get back to my regular painting schedule and freelancing. My mental state was imbalanced for a while which caused me to lose control of my life for a moment. Now, with a calm mind I will move on the next chapter of my life away from negativity, greed, lies, and back stabbing.

Moving in with my fellow artist and best friend, Isaac and his girlfriend has given me much needed growth, rest, and peace of mind. Allison (Isaac's girl) has graciously allowed for me to make an art studio out of her small garage which I spend most of my time in. I've managed to paint at my leisure in the wee hours of the night without any disturbances.

I've been contemplating whether or not to start tutoring in basic art. I guess I made up my mind and have already designed a flier to distribute around the community and offer my services to them. Hopefully this goes well.

I will upload the new pieces as soon as I get a hold of a digicam.

Being an Art Director for a small company like Crucial Graphix is an experience that is fun, challenging, and rewarding. Responsibilities like keeping things in check, finalizing projects, dealing with clients, etc. I have two employees, which I hired myself, are the most hard working creative individuals I have ever seen. It's a bit of a change from freelancing. I still get to do my airbrush pieces, but in a more challenging way.

Crucial Graphix Services:

-Logo Design
-Business Cards
-Fliers
-Brochures
-Stickers
-CD Packages
-Custom T-Shirt Design
-Tattoo Design
-Web Design
-Airbrush Portraits
-AIrbrush Skateboards

The business is going to expand into Crucial Kustoms and I get to finally work on cars, helmets, and bikes. There's a lot to learn in the coming year and a lot of money to be made. I just hope more and more contracts come in.

I moved out of the studio and into my friend's house. I got a job at a truck rental office in Chantilly. The business is just starting up, but will get customers as soon as they work out all the kinks. I haven't really done anything worthy of my gallery, but as soon as I get some commissions, then it's on.

Also, I am a manager of tshirt graphics company with will be in operation soon as they invest more equipment and supplies and build the addition in the warehouse.

My room mates are great, but I find my money depleting quickly as I frequent the local 711 for munchies and drinks.

Hopefully, I will have enough money to buy a laptop and get a wireless interwebs connection. It's pretty slow in the office and I'd like my own internet time.

That's pretty much it. Nothing exciting, but nothing boring either.
